Matt's Hornet is a gorgeous red with orange stripes. The taste is described as similar to Matt's Wild Cherry but with more meat, less juice and much bigger size. Vigorous plants produce heavy yields.

Small ogive-shaped fruit elongated plum type ending in a point.
Red epidermis streaked with yellow.
Inherited the flavor of "Matt" s wild cherry "but with a meatier and more consistent flesh.
Plant more vigorous than "Matt's folly". Regular foliage. Semi-determined driving.
Excellent and long production.
Variety of multiflora type, huge bouquets made up of several dozen fruits. 
Excellent production from mid-season until frost.
