These chicks will be 1-5 weeks old and will still need access to some sort of heat source to warm up until they are fully feathered.
Splash Wyandottes are essentially incomplete Black Laced Red or Blue Laced Wyandottes. 25-50% Splash show up when trying to breed for the other two colors. That doesn't take away from its beauty in the lest though. These birds have orange or red feathers splashed with sky blue or white on the outer edges of each feather. Absolutely gorgeous in its own right! (we breed Blue Laced Reds here on the farm to get better quality birds so they are sold as unsexed only.)
The Wyandotte is a dual-purpose breed, raised both for eggs and for meat. Wyandottes are a favorite among backyard flock owners for their dependable egg laying, easygoing nature, hardiness, and the great variety of beautiful feather patterns available.
They mature moderately rapidly, and will start laying around 20 weeks producing 225-250 light brown eggs per year.
