These hens will be 3+ months old and will lay in the next few weeks if they aren't already laying.
A beautiful new sex-link chicken has blue and lavender colored plumage. The lavender gene has never been seen in sex-links before! It does well in hot climates and is a great forager, keeping feed costs down. This bird is a specialty hybrid that was created by a breeder in the Czech Republic. We have been working with this breed for the last year and have completely fallen in love with them. They are sweet and very quiet. They like to be in the middle of the pecking order, not a bully but not a push over either.
We expect this breed to sell out early in the year so don't wait.
They lay about 275-300 brown eggs per year and start laying around 18-20 weeks.
Laying/Almost Laying age birds typically need to be grown out or have a wait list so they may take several months before they are ready.
