These chicks will be 1-5 weeks old and will still need access to some sort of heat source to warm up until they are fully feathered.
Cornish X, or broilers, bred and raised specifically for meat production. They are a hybrid of the egg-laying chickens selected for extremely fast muscle growth. Typical broilers have white feathers and yellowish skin. Most commercial broilers reach slaughter-weight at between five and seven weeks of age. Due to intensive selection for rapid early growth and the husbandry used to sustain this, broilers are not genetically modified (GMO) just selectively bred, contrary to popular belief.
