These juveniles will be 6-12 weeks old and are ready to go straight into the coop.
We worked hard to find good quality 8th and 9th generation olive eggers over the winter. Finally! We have some beautiful girls producing some amazing eggs. We only dreamed about these colors and we are over the moon excited to be able to offer them on our farm! We are getting a wide variety of gorgeous birds ranging from blue to cuckoos! We have found them to be very hardy and quiet. These ladies are here to stay on the farm for sure.
***Olive Eggers are one of our most popular breeds and typically have a longer wait than others. The turn around time is often several weeks or months. Please contact us before ordering if you are under a time constraint.***
They mature at 28 weeks and produce 225-275 various colored eggs per year.
Things to consider:
1) Egg color can vary greatly from one bird to another or even the same bird at any given time in the laying cycle.
2)Olive Eggers are a very new breed and can be created by mixing any dark egg layer with any blue egg layer. Breeding them is an art not a science. No two will look the same.
3) Some Olive Eggers lay progressively darker eggs as they age and some get lighter as they lay. Egg color and saturation is different from one bird to the next.
