Black Laced Red Wyandotte (Unsexed-Still Need Heat)
These chicks will be 1-5 weeks old and will still need access to some sort of heat source to warm up until they are fully feathered.
Black Laced Red Wyandottes sparkle in the sun! The unique attribute of this color is that the most attractive part is the iridescent black lacing on each of its deep red feathers. The black turns blue, green and purple depending on how the lite is hitting the feathers. Their is no other way to express their beauty but to say.... They sparkle in the sun! (We breed Blue, Black and Splash Laced Reds here on the farm to get better quality birds than commercial hatcheries offer so they are sold as unsexed only.)
The Wyandotte is a dual-purpose breed, raised both for eggs and for meat. Wyandottes are a favorite among backyard flock owners for their dependable egg laying, easygoing nature, hardiness, and the great variety of beautiful feather patterns available.
They mature moderately rapidly, and will start laying around 28 weeks producing 225-250 light brown eggs with white spots per year.
